Check In and Check Out
You may self-check-in anytime after 3pm. Upon arrival, you will find a welcome letter with detailed notes, and your keys can be found on the key-rack in the Great Room. Check-out time is 11am.
A hot breakfast is served each morning at 8:30am along with fresh, locally roasted coffee and tea. We use local and seasonal foods whenever possible. Our heritage hens provide us with fresh eggs for breakfast.
If you need breakfast prior to or after the scheduled sit-down breakfast, please let us know in advance, and we are happy to prepare a cold breakfast of items such as homemade granola with yogurt, fruit, breakfast bar, etc. to enjoy at your leisure.
Help yourself to coffee and tea on the bar in the Great Room at any time throughout the day. There is an electric kettle located on the guest mini-fridge for preparing tea.
We offer a 10% off discount to active military. Discount requests must be made at time of reservation and may not be combined with any other special offers or package offer. Please call us at 804.426.7677 or email us at prior to your reservation to arrange a discount.
For the health and safety of our guests, Ridgeside Bed and Breakfast is a smoke free environment, including the outdoor property. In addition, the use of open flames such as candles and incense are a prohibited fire hazard and not permitted. A minimum $400 cleaning fee is enforced for smoking and vaping inside the house.
Because many of our guests visit Ridgeside for a quiet retreat and relaxing atmosphere, the bed and breakfast is not a family-friendly environment and not appropriate for children. If booking the entire bed and breakfast as a group or family, however, children are welcome.
Due to the wildlife and farm life around us, we cannot allow pets at Ridgeside. We have two outdoor cats, Smudge and Cézanne, and a dog, Pippi, who are not allowed in any of the guest areas.
We’ve built an outdoor fire pit on the property for guest use. It can be found behind the B&B to the left of the creek bridge. Please let us know if you plan to use the fire pit, and we’ll help you with locating our firewood and getting the fire started. We require one person attend the fire at all times until the fire is completely out. Please note that from time-to-time, the Forest Service may issue a burn ban for the area, which may affect the fire pit’s availability.
If you love our handmade, natural soaps, you may purchase full-sized bars to take home with you. Ridgeside Soap Company goods, along with other items, are available for sale in the Great Room. Please let us know if you’d like to make a purchase.
